some days ago I made this image of the MilkyWay. It consist of 24 images of 30sec each shot with my DSLR on a telescope mount and with a 50mm lens. A little bit down left of the center one can see the star Deneb which is part of the constellation Cygnus. Below Deneb you can see the North America Nebula (NGC7000).

there had been the summer festival of the astronomical obervatory in Nuremberg last afternoon and night. Some telecopes up to the 60cm mirror had been available for looking at stars, nebulae or other objects. During afternoon the sun could be observed. LINK to the observatory

One of may images is the “Picture of the Week” on the webpage of the Nuremberg zoo www.tiergarten.nuernberg.de. It shows one of the four little cheetah they have right now. Some other pictures can be seen at my little gallery on the same page here.

yesterday it was such a nice clear sky at night so I tried to make a nice photo of our neighbor 🙂

yesterday I met some other photographers for some joint photo work and a lot of talking 🙂 We visited the Botanical Garden in Erlangen. Due to some rain shortly before we found some nice water drops on all the leaves and flowers that are normally generated on purpose.

The Junkers JU52 “Iron Annie” (“Tante Ju”) had been a guest at Nuremberg Airport. The Lufthansa Oldtimer had been at NUE for some sightseeing flight above Franconian Switzerland and Nuremberg. In the evening she went on to Leipzig.

the “KISS-flyer” (PH-AAG), a Canadair Jet, brought the band KISS to Nuremberg today. They had a performance at the “Rock im Park” festival at the same evening. A nice surprise….
